All Worship Services for Sunday, March 15, Are Cancelled

Due to the winter storm, and out of an abundance of caution for your safe travel, both worship services have been cancelled for Sunday, March 15.

To guide your devotional reflection for Sunday, you can read the following texts that would have been preached on and then find time to ponder, pray, and practice.

Ponder: Both Matthew 19: 13-15 and Deuteronomy 24: 17-22 highlight God’s heart and deep desire to be with and work on behalf of the most vulnerable in our communities—children (Matthew) and the alien, the widow, and the orphan (Deuteronomy).

• How does your heart reflect God’s heart and desire?
• Who are those most vulnerable in our community? How is God calling us/you to respond?

Pray:

• For those who are most vulnerable—for their safety and wellbeing.
• For those who don’t have the option to stay home today and for those who work on our behalf clearing the streets and tending to those in need in hospitals and care facilities.
• For innocent victims of war and those who make decisions for peace.

Practice:

• Call a friend or neighbor who might be alone or in need.
• Get out your shovel for someone if you are able.
• Call a loved one and remind them why they are important to you.
