Request Prayer

If you or your loved one would like to be added to the public prayer concerns list, contact the Incarnation office at 651-484-7213 or email Julie Durbin. New Prayer Concerns will be printed in the bulletin for three weeks. Ongoing Prayer Concerns can continue in the Saturday emails for longer.

The person listed must be asked for permission to include their name in public prayers to protect their privacy and respect their wishes.

If you or your loved one would like to be prayed for but not be included in the public prayer concerns list, you/they can be added to the non-published prayer concerns list. This list is prayed for each week by the Incarnation Prayer Team and monthly by the Incarnation Congregation Council. These requests remain confidential. Like the published prayer list, it is important to have permission from anyone added to this list.

Join in Prayer

The Prayer Team meets on Wednesdays at 9:30-10:30 am in the Chapel to pray for all those on Incarnation’s prayer lists, Incarnation staff, ministry partners, and other daily concerns.

A Centering Prayer group meets on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 am in the Chapel. Centering Prayer is gathering with others in the quiet presence of God. Psalm 46:10 reads, “Be still and know that I am God.” This is an opportunity to begin your day with others in the quiet presence of God.

Prayer Spaces

The Alleluia Chapel is located on the west end of the building near the Worship Space. This chapel is a dedicated space available to individuals and groups for prayer. It includes places to light candles, wrap yourself in a prayer shawl, and add your prayers to the prayer wall.

Two Prayer Walls made by Incarnation woodworkers are located in the Atrium outside the Worship Space and in the Gathering Space between the Preschool and Incarnation Hall (gym). You are invited to put prayers into the niches, and the prayer team will pray them each Wednesday morning.

The Peace Garden is located across the parking lot from Door 2, just beyond the Preschool Playground. The Peace Garden has a prayer pavilion, a simple labyrinth, benches for conversation and reflection, and an array of plants and wildflowers. Anyone is welcome in this space from dawn to dusk.

Community Care

  • Visits — If you would like a visit from one of Incarnation’s pastors, staff, or trained volunteers, please contact the church office.
  • Prayer Shawls — If you plan to visit a loved one and would like a prayer shawl, stop by during church office hours.
  • Care Team Partners – Care Teams function like extended family members or neighbors, doing a broad range of activities. At Incarnation, our Care Team ministry can provide: friendly visits, light yard work, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping assistance, transportation, and support for family caregivers.

Who could request Care Team services? Anyone of any age who has experienced a loss of mobility and/or independence, or those who need short-term or ongoing support/help with non-medical tasks they are unable to complete, could benefit from the Care Team ministry. Contact a Care Team ministry leader to be matched with the appropriate Care Team ministry volunteer. Examples – moms-to-be on bed rest, individuals coming home from the hospital, family caregivers who need a break, individuals who need help getting to appointments, and keeping up with yard and house chores.

Emergency Pastoral Care

In case of emergency, illness, hospitalization, or death, contact the Pastoral Emergency Line at 651-484-7213 and select 3. The on-call pastor will contact you as soon as possible.

Please note that hospitals and care centers do not notify churches when a member has been admitted. The only way the Incarnation staff will know if you or a loved one is in the hospital is if you or a loved one contacts the Incarnation office or a pastor. If an emergency occurs outside regular office hours, please contact the Pastoral Emergency Line at 651-484-7213 and select option 3. The on-call pastor will contact you as soon as possible.
