Council

Ted and his wife Sharon have been members since 1993, and their (now adult) children Greg and Käthe were both baptized at Incarnation. Ted has served in a number of ministry programs, including confirmation, small groups, Habitat for Humanity, and choir. He also has previously served on the congregation council. Ted worked for 30 years in the biomedical industry at Medtronic and, in career 2.0, is now writing fiction.

Sheri and her husband Bill have been at Incarnation since 2014, and have two young sons, Alex, 9, and Joe, 7. Sheri currently teaches Sunday School and has participated in Feed My Starving Children, and recently served on the call committee to call Pastor Joy. Her kids are in ILC kids and are part of the Grace Notes bell choir! Sheri is currently the director of communications, advocacy, and public outreach for the Minnesota chapter of the American Institute of Architects. She is also a licensed attorney. Sheri says, “I agreed to serve because Incarnation has given me and my family a great deal over our years of membership; it has expanded our hearts and minds and helped us on our faith journeys and as members of our broader community. It is an honor to serve and give back however I can.”

Katie and her husband Mark have been members for 20 years and have 3 adult children. Katie has a degree in Business Administration. She retired in 2022 after working many years as an Instructional Para at the Snail Lake Kindergarten Center. She continues to serve as a substitute in the Mounds View District. Prior to working in education, Katie was part of a management team for an insurance company call center. Katie has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Confirmation Guide, Small Group Participant and Leader, and on the Small Group Leadership Committee, and with Feed My Starving Children. A leader, listener, creative thinker, and team player, Katie’s mom was active on her church council in her retirement, and Katie honors her mother’s memory by agreeing to serve in a similar capacity.

Becky retired in August 2025 after 11 years as the 17th President of Gustavus Adolphus College, where she was the first woman to hold the role. During her tenure, she led major campus projects, advanced academic innovation, and helped secure over $400 million in philanthropic support. Before Gustavus, Becky spent 26 years at Medtronic in senior leadership roles in research and development and strategic planning. She is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Becky holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, completed graduate studies at the University of Minnesota, and has received honorary doctorates from Gustavus, Drexel University, and St. Catherine University. Becky and her husband, Tom, have lived in North Oaks since 1990 and have been members of Incarnation since 1996. They are parents of four grown children and grandparents to four. Becky previously served on the Incarnation Council, including as Congregation President.

Kevin is a patent attorney for a medical device company, and also assists as a volunteer in various legal matters for individuals and small businesses. He and his wife, Brenda, have been members of Incarnation since 2012. They live in Shoreview with their son Drew (16). Kevin and Brenda served as confirmation co-guides through Drew’s confirmation in 2022, and Kevin continues as a substitute confirmation guide. He also serves as an adult chaperone to Mike Sell’s High School Ministry program. Kevin has been involved in several small groups and has served as an usher and greeter.” Term ends December 2026.
