College and Adult Volunteers

College and adult volunteers are an important part of HSM (High School Ministry). In order to be responsible for the safety of kids and for the protection of adult volunteers, in 2004 the Incarnation Council implemented the Policy for Protecting Children and Youth. All volunteers within HSM must have a background check on file one week prior to volunteering. Background checks are valid for 3 years. To enter into this critical process, please email Nate. The process usually takes an hour, once your name is submitted.

And while your background check is fully electronic, you will still need to download, print, sign and return the covenant form (below).

Say ‘Yes’ to Serving

First Thursday

First Thursday of each month

Collage age students and adults are needed to help at First Thursday once a month at the Caribou and Bruegger’s Bagels in North Oaks. Leaders will connect with students as they wait in line for their food and participate in a brief devotional (provided by Incarnation). Breakfast and a sm or med drink is free for all leaders! First Thursday meets year-round.

Wednesday Night Youth Group

College-age students and adults are invited to the Youth Room each week to lead games, guide small groups, participate in worship and be a caring, open and non-judgmental person for all young people who walk into our space. Youth Group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Incarnation Cheer Squad

College-age students and adults connect with Incarnation students out in the community at their sporting events, music concert, theater performances, and other extra-curricular activities.

Interested in helping out with HSM events? Contact our formation leader for teens & families, Nate Bergengren.

*Because of covid, being a guide could mean different things than in years past (table host for worship/learning in Incarnation Hall, service station leader on service nights, hang with us at our monthly fun and fellowship events, etc.), so simply raise your hand if you enjoy spending time with students as they wrestle with issues of faith and God and even challenge your own assumptions.
(The time commitment will be 6:00pm to 7:30 on Wednesday, starting October 6. Training on Wed, 9/15 (5:30p – ice cream social; 7:00p – formation guide orientation). Parent & student orientation on Wed, 9/22, 5:30pm).
