High School Ministry & Confirmation

HSM (High School Ministry) is designed to help teens in 9th – 12th grade experience the grace and love of God and find ways to live out their faith everyday. In other words, we’re learning to live and love like Jesus for a lifetime.

Wednesday Worship

Beginning October 6…

  • 5:00 – 6:00pm — gathering time w/ food truck (generously sponsored by community donations)
  • 6:00 – 6:30pm — energetic and engaging cross-generational worship w/ a parent or other caring adult*
  • 6:30 – 7:30pm — middle school learning in Incarnation Hall (6th grade incl.) w/ a parent, high school learning in youth room (**9th grade incl.) for students and adult leaders
  • Done and on your way home by 7:35p

*We feel called to step into a model of ministry which lives into the reality that the family is the primary way we come to understand God and find our place within the community of faith. That being said, teens do not need an adult in order to be with us during this time.

**There are two aspects of the combined Confirmation/MSM/HSM program(s):  expectations of participation in core classes for confirmation, or the youth room fellowship/faith-building time. If 9th graders choose to stay in Incarnation Hall after worship for core class learning, they are expected to do so with an adult. If they choose to go to the Youth Room, there is no expectation to be accompanied by a parent.

High School Milestone

Faith Milestones are a series of programs designed to build “Faith in the Family” starting from the time a child is an infant and continuing through their graduation from high school. It is a program that recognizes the incredible impact parents have on the faith life of their children and works to partner with parents on the spiritual formation of their children and to help them live out the promises they made at their child’s baptism.
