Parents’ Night Out for December is January 8.

With cold and flu season upon us, if your child has missed school that Friday they should not be at Parents’ Night Out. For the safety of the our staff and the children who attend Parents’ Night Out we kindly ask that your child(ren) not attend Parents’ Night Out if they have experienced any of the following symptoms:

  • A fever of 100 or higher
  • Diarrhea or vomiting
  • Severe runny nose with colored discharge
  • Sore throat, croup or cough that is not asthmatic related
  • Ear infection
  • Strep throat
  • Rash of any kind (except diaper rash)
  • Any common childhood illness such as measles, mumps, rubella, scarlet fever, chicken pox or fifths disease, pink eye, any other symptom that looks/acts suspicious.

If your child is on an antibiotic, he/she must have been on it for at least 24 hours before coming to Parents’ Night Out. If we see any of the above symptoms we will be calling you and asking you to pick up your child from Parents’ Night Out.

Staffing and Volunteer Opportunities

Each month this evening will be staffed by at least two of our nursery staff and one Children’s Ministry staff member, as well as by parent volunteers.

Families interested in participating, are asked to register their families, and will be required to volunteer for one full evening shift during the program year.

You are welcome to bring your children with on the evening that you are assigned to work.

Age Groups

Children 7 and Under

Children 7 and under can participate in this ministry. During the time that they are here they will participate in gym time, free play, games, dinner and a craft. In addition, each night will have a bible lesson and story time and movie!

Children ages 8-10

Children ages 8-10 can participate as “helpers” during the evening and will be given special tasks to help with the younger children during the evening. If they are interested in this, please connect the Children’s Ministry Coordinator when they sign in so that she can assign them things to do during the evening.

Due to the increase of food allergies, we are no longer offering a meal for dinner. We will be having mealtime together, but we ask that families provide a LABELED sack dinner for the child(ren). Mealtime will be approximately 30 minutes after drop off, so no coolers are needed. Sack dinners can be placed on the tables just outside of Incarnation Hall. From playing, each child will grab their sack dinner and head to Grace Hall, where we’ll be the remainder of the evening. We will continue to offer a snack each month and you will be notified of what that snack is prior to the evening. If your child(ren) cannot eat this snack, please provide one for them.

Program Fee of $5 per child per session.
