Caring for our bodies is part of living as faithful stewards of what God has given us. The following opportunities are designed to help you connect with God and others as you tend to your physical well-being. All are welcome! You do not need to be a member of Incarnation to sign up or participate in any of these activities.

Ongoing Opportunities

Walk and Pray in December

Tuesdays, December 5, 12, 19, & 26 from 11:30 a.m. – 12: 30 p.m.

Carve out an hour a week in December for 30 minutes of selected Scripture and 30 minutes of walking with Pastor Janet. You may choose to walk indoors or outdoors following the gathering time. Bring your Bible and meet in the Chapel. No sign up required.

Men’s Pickup Basketball

Saturdays beginning October 7 from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. in Incarnation Hall

Looking to get some exercise and connect with other men? Come for men’s basketball at Incarnation, most Saturdays from October through April. Check the Incarnation calendar if you are curious about a particular date. Enter the building through Door 2. Come when you can, no need to register.

Whisper Yoga

Learn how to become quiet in body and mind to hear Go’s whisper and get stronger for your everyday life. Led by certified yoga instructor, Tina Zerrath. Wear comfortable clothes. Sign up in the Incarnation Office for the class options:

Chair Yoga

Mondays: 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.  November 6 – December 18 (except November 13) Cost: $36. Drop-in rate $8 AND/OR Thursdays: 1 – 2:00 p.m.  November 9 – December 28 (except November 16 and 23) Cost: $36. Drop-in rate $8.

An easy entry to yoga, you’ll use the support of a chair to improve balance and strength for your everyday life.

Mat Yoga  

Mondays: 12:45 – 2:00 p.m. November 6 – December 18 (except November 13) Cost $42. Drop-in rate $9.

Bring a yoga mat to relax and have devotion. Build your flexibility and strength regardless of your experience level.

Men’s Faith and Fitness

Fridays, November 3 – December 29 (except November 24). Devotions at 9:30 a.m. Class from 9:45- 11:00 a.m.

Led by fitness instructor Shannon Rainey, this workout is a great way for men of all ages and abilities to improve strength and balance while connecting with other men. Strength training is accomplished by using body weight, resistance straps, rubber tubing and stability balls. Register in the Incarnation Office. Cost $120 for eight sessions or $20 for drop-ins.

Women’s Faith and Fitness

Fridays, ongoing. Devotions at 8:15 a.m. Class from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. in Incarnation Hall.

Newcomers are welcome to join in the fun with the ongoing women’s faith and fitness group. Improve your “functional strength,” balance and overall fitness while connecting with other women. Drop in any Friday to work with fitness instructor, Shannon Rainey. Cost: $20 for drop ins, $15/session for prorated session sign up. Try a class at no cost!
