Fruit of the Spirit Visual Display

FoS_chalkboard printable pintrestFrom July 12 – August 23, there will be a preaching series on the “Fruit of the Spirit” based on Galatians 5:22-23: “By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” How does God’s Holy Spirit bear fruit in our world through us? It looks like these qualities which together make the Fruit of the Spirit. You are invited to use your talent  and creative spirit to show us what that looks like by helping us build a visual display.

Calling All Artists! (Of any age, ability, or medium)

Bring submissions to the Incarnation Office by Tuesday, July 7 to be included in the initial display.

Are you a painter, potter, photographer, or poet? Do you scrapbook, draw, write, color, sculpt or do mosaic? Whatever your age, interest or ability, we would love to represent your perspective on the “Fruit of the Spirit.” Feel free to take the verse as a whole and use the image of “The Fruit of the Spirit” or choose one of the weekly preaching themes (Faithfulness, Joy, Generosity, Peace, Kindness & Gentleness, Patience & Self-Control, and Love) and show us what that looks like to you.

The goal is to have a wide variety of people submitting their creative work so that we can celebrate the gift of God working in and through our lives and this world and the gift of the “Fruit of the Spirit.” Items will be displayed in the display case and in Grace Hall beginning Sunday, July 12. You  may continue to submit pieces through the summer as the Spirit moves you. Please complete the submission form below or download it here to include when you drop off your work.
