Incarnation Council

The Incarnation Congregation Council is and is comprised of a group of nine lay leaders who are elected on a rotating basis to three year terms. Criteria for being nominated to the council include regular participation in the worship life and ministries of Incarnation as well as a commitment to helping the community of Incarnation live out our stated Mission, Vision, and Values.

Mary and her husband, Jim, have been Incarnation members since 1992.  They have two young adult children, Kathryn and Jayson.  Mary has served as a baptismal host, kitchen team member, confirmation prayer partner and Sunday school teacher. She also served on the Endowment Fund Committee and the Stewardship Team.  She enjoys volunteer work with Lifehaven and Hands & Hearts as well participating in a number of small groups.

Vice President

Don and his wife Martie have been members of Incarnation since 2001. They have 2 grown sons, Ross & Carl who live with their wives, Katie and Anna, in the Twin Cities area. Also blessed with 3 grandchildren, Max, Mia and Eva. Don has been involved with various small groups, the building committee, the Hunger Education & Advocacy Group, the Feed My Starving Children Action Group, and traveled to Haiti with the Incarnation delegation in 2014. Don has also participated as a confirmation prayer partner, a route leader for the stewardship bags,  Incarnation Habitat for Humanity, Faith & Work, and small group ministry.

Megan joined her husband, Matt, as an Incarnation member in 2009. They have one daughter, Elsie, age 4. Megan has served as a Confirmation Guide, Sunday School Teacher, Stewardship Route Leader, small group member, and participant of Yoga Devotion. She is also a member of the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Action Group with a focus on educating the youth of our congregation on hunger issues.

Gary and his wife, Pauline, became adult members at Incarnation when they were married at Incarnation in 1991. All three of their children have been raised in the Incarnation Community: Tucker (19), Tessa (17), and Tatum (13).  Gary has served on the Endowment Committee, the 2009 Capital Campaign, as an Usher, and participates in a couples small group.

Kristi has been a member since 2009 and lives in Blaine with her two daughters, Gracie and Lilly. Kristi served on the Preschool Committee while the girls attended Incarnation Preschool. She enjoys greeting and serving Communion, teaching SPARK and IGNITE classes, and helping on the Kitchen Team. She has been involved with the annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack™ event for several years and traveled with the Incarnation delegation to Haiti in November 2015.

Jim Meinen

Jim and his wife, Julie, have been members since 1989 and have two young adult children.  Jim has served on the Stewardship Ministry Team, as a Confirmation Guide, Confirmation Prayer Partner, communion server, usher, co-leads the Faith and Work large gatherings and has co-led two small groups. Term ends December 2017.

Emily and her husband, Brian, have been attending Incarnation since 2009 and have been members since 2014. They have three children, Laney (13), Charlie (11), and Zoe (8), who are active in Children, Youth, and Family programming. Emily is a Confirmation Guide, serves communion and treats at the 6:00 p.m. service, has helped with Vacation Bible School, has been a Sandwich Project driver, and traveled to Haiti with her husband and the Incarnation delegation in 2015. She has been involved in a couples small group and looks forward to leading a new small group in the coming year.

Dick and his wife, Kay, joined Incarnation as members in 1984 (although Kay joined God’s heavenly home in 2009). They have three adult children, Emily, Stephen and Andrew, and one grandchild, Evie. Dick has been involved in many areas of congregation life throughout the years, especially worship and music, and most recently as a member of the Senior Choir.

Gary and his wife, Cheri, have been Incarnation members since 1989. They have four children ranging in age from 17-25. Most recently, Gary has been a Confirmation Prayer Partner, Baptismal Host, usher, and a greeter.
