Incarnation Council

The Incarnation Congregation Council is and is comprised of a group of nine lay leaders who are elected on a rotating basis to three year terms. Criteria for being nominated to the council include regular participation in the worship life and ministries of Incarnation as well as a commitment to helping the community of Incarnation live out our stated Mission, Vision, and Values.

Don and his wife Martie have been members of Incarnation since 2001. They have 2 grown sons, Ross and Carl who live with their wives, Katie and Anna, in the Twin Cities area. They are also blessed with three grandchildren, Max, Mia and Eva. Don has been involved with various small groups, the building committee, the Hunger Education & Advocacy Group, the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack™ Action Group, and traveled to Haiti with the Incarnation delegations in 2014 and 2017. Don has also participated as a confirmation prayer partner, a route leader for the stewardship bags,  Incarnation Habitat for Humanity, Faith & Work, and small group ministry. Term ends December 2019.

Vice President
Kristi has been a member since 2009 and lives in Blaine with her two daughters, Gracie and Lilly. Kristi served on the Preschool Committee while the girls attended Incarnation Preschool. She enjoys greeting and serving Communion, teaching IGNITE classes, and serving as a Confirmation Prayer Partner. She has also been active with Incarnation’s Feed My Starving Children MobilePack™ events and traveled with the Incarnation delegations to Haiti in November 2015 and 2017. Term ends December 2019.

Gary Trettel webGary Trettel


Gary and his wife, Pauline, became adult members at Incarnation when they were married at Incarnation in 1991. All three of their children have been raised in the Incarnation Community: Tucker (20), Tessa (18), and Tatum (14).  Gary has served on the Endowment Committee, the 2009 Capital Campaign, as an Usher, and participates in a couples small group. Term ends December 2018.

Sally Lawless


Sally and her husband Fred, have been members of Incarnation since 2004. They have two daughters, Kate (18) and Ann (11). Sally has served in a variety of areas within Incarnation including Preschool Committee, SPARK Sunday, Worship Team, Confirmation Guide, IGNITE 5/6 Guide,  and most recently on the Long Range Planning and Strategic Planning Committees. She also has participated in several small groups over the years. Term ends December 2020.

Brenda Roloff

Brenda, her husband, Kevin and son, Drew (10) became members of Incarnation in 2013. They were first introduced to Incarnation through the Incarnation Preschool when their son Drew attended. Brenda has served as a Monday Morning Money Counter, Stewardship Route Leader, Synod Representative, IGNITE Leader, and has participated in various volunteer projects and small groups. Term ends December 2020.

Megan joined her husband, Matt, as an Incarnation member in 2009. They have three daughters, Elsie (5), Clara, and Grace (newborn twins). Megan has served as a Confirmation Guide, Sunday School Teacher, Stewardship Route Leader, small group member, and participant of Yoga Devotion. She was formerly a member of the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack™ Action Group with a focus on educating the youth of our congregation on hunger issues. Term ends December 2018.

Emily Schwieters webEmily Schwieters

Emily and her husband, Brian, have been attending Incarnation since 2009 and have been members since 2014. They have three children, Laney (13), Charlie (11), and Zoe (8), who are active in Children, Youth, and Family programming. Emily is a Confirmation Guide, serves communion and treats at the 6:00 p.m. service, has helped with Vacation Bible School, has been a Sandwich Project driver, and traveled to Haiti with her husband and the Incarnation delegation in 2015. She has been involved in a couples small group and looks forward to leading a new small group in the coming year. Term ends December 2018.

Gary and his wife, Cheri, have been Incarnation members since 1989. They have four children ranging in age from 17-25. Most recently, Gary has been a Confirmation Prayer Partner, Baptismal Host, usher, and a greeter. Term ends December 2019.


Dan Zibell

Dan attended Incarnation through childhood and became an adult member in 2009. Dan serves on a worship team as an usher captain, helps with building Habitat for Humanity homes with Holy Hammers, and participates in Feed My Starving Children MobilePack Events. He’s also in a couple of small groups in addition to leading one. Dan traveled to Haiti in 2015 as part of the Incarnation delegation. Term ends December 2020.
