Birth – 2

It is never to early to start raising your child in the Christian faith and life. At Incarnation we feel that providing a safe and loving environment for children to first experience God is valuable. Our caring staff in our nursery welcomes each child with a warm smile and invites the children to come in and experience God in a fun and caring way.

Baptism Stepping Stone

Sundays, June 11, September 17, November 12, 2017; January 14 and March 11, 2018 from 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

This first Faith Stepping Stone, Baptism Stepping Stone, is an expectation before baptism for first time parents and those who have come from a non-Lutheran background. We encourage you to take the class before the baby is born. This class is an opportunity to learn more about the meaning of baptism and about how parents and the church will partner together through the years on their children’s faith journeys. Parents will learn about faith development, choosing a sponsor and the gift and blessing of baptism.

The Baptism Stepping Stone is offered every one or two months, or at different times to better accommodate peoples schedules. The registration deadline for the Baptism Stepping Stone is the Wednesday before the upcoming session. Childcare is provided with advanced registration. To register, call the Incarnation office at 651-484-7213.

Nursery

nursery 23Incarnation Lutheran Church Nursery is a caring environment where children are welcome and will experience love and care from the trained Nursery Team. The nursery is the first experience some children will have at Incarnation Lutheran Church to experience the love of Jesus through smiling faces, fun curriculum and a caring nursery team.

The nursery ages are birth-age 3 (birthday being after September 1st of that calendar year). If they are old enough for Children’s Ministry Programming, they cannot stay in nursery care. The ONLY exception is during special events, such as small groups, in which children up to age 8 are allowed to stay. Those 4 years-8 years will be on the other side of the nursery with an attendant. A child(ren) the age of 8 or older, may also stay during special events, but are required to volunteer as help. Please see the nursery coordinator with any questions or concerns.

For the safety of others and the staff, Incarnation Lutheran Church kindly asks that you do not put your child(ren) in the nursery if they have experienced any of the following symptoms within the past 48 hours:

  • A fever of 100 or higher
  • diarrhea or vomiting (from the last incident)
  • a severe runny nose with colored discharge
  • sore throat, croup or cough that is not asthmatic
  • ear infection
  • strep throat
  • rash of any kind (except diaper)
  • any common childhood illness such as measles, mumps, rubella, scarlet fever, chicken pox, or fifths disease, pink eye, any other symptom that looks/acts suspicious

If your child is on an antibiotic, he/she must have been on it for at least 24 hours before coming into the nursery. Nursery staff, under no circumstance, can administer antibiotics.

Incarnation Lutheran Church also kindly asks that you contact the nursery coordinator if your child has been exposed to, or develops, any communicable disease after being in the nursery within the last 24-48 hours (anything flu related or worse).

Thank you in advance for helping maintain a healthy learning environment!
