Program Highlights

Each class grouping is limited to 16 children and is facilitated by two qualified teaching staff and children have many different activities to participate in and enjoy.

Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum

Daily Large Muscle Play Space Options

    Outside, weather permitting in fenced playground or utilizing environmental spaces on the adjacent Incarnation property

  • Or, inside in one of two large multi-purpose rooms using a variety of toys and equipment

Age/Class Group Specific Theme Days and School-Home Activities

    M/W/F 4’s classes: Hat Day, Beach Day, Wacky Wednesday, Bike Day, Letter of the Week, Alphabet Sharing Bucket, ABC Journals, Class book pages

  • Tues/Thurs 3’s classes: Pajama Day, Beady/Buddy class bear with journal, Color of the week, Shape of the week, color sharing bucket, shape sharing bucket
  • M-F 4’s class: participate in most listed above for both age groups

In addition: Math books, monthly library time, theme extensions of learning stations, activities, graphing and small group games

Monthly Chapel Times

  • Provided for concurrent class sessions for each age group
  • Orchestrated by the preschool director and in one of the worship areas
  • Includes Bible stories, object lessons, songs and prayer
  • Scheduled visits fromthe Incarnation pastoral and program staff

Family Social Gatherings

Fall Family Night

An evening off-site activity at a community center or park to provide opportunity for families and teachers to socialize and get acquainted

Summer Park Play Dates

An invitation is sent to outgoing, returning and new incoming preschool families to attend a drop in playtime at a local park playground area for two scheduled summer dates bridging the time between school years with an opportunity for interaction.

Experiential Field Trips

3’s classes

  • Fall: on site Bus safety presentation/ride & pumpkin patch visit
  • Spring: bus trip to selected museum/cultural site.

4’s classes

  • Fall: bus trip to area Nature Center for environmental theme experience
  • Spring: bus trip to selected museum/cultural site.

On-Site Special Presentations

A special presentation is scheduled on site for each age group during class time on a mid winter day. The presenter cost is covered by our annual fundraiser event. Invitation to these presentations is extended to families with children in alternate age group class to drop in and participate in the program scheduled on their non-class day. Recent highlighted presenters: Mike Mann “The Baker” storyteller, Merlajean’s Parading Puppets.

Annual Silent Auction & Carnival Event

  • Held the last Sunday in February each year since the program started
  • Provides a supportive interactive link between the preschool families, the Incarnation community and the surrounding community and businesses
  • Raises funds for the preschool financial aid program, program enhancements such as the contracted music and fitness programs, subsidy to field trip costs, toy and equipment replacement and outreach support to child focused missions.
