There are many facets to our spiritual life. Spiritual well-being grows out of rooting each facet of our lives in the unconditional love and forgiveness–also called grace–that we receive from Jesus Christ. We have a fresh start with God at every moment and that frees us to live well and generously in all parts of our lives in response to God.

Spiritual well-being is not a state to be achieved, but rather a continuing journey as we move, change, and grow through the different phases of our lives.

Martin Luther said, “This life, therefore, is not godliness but the process of becoming godly, not health but getting well, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not now what we shall be, but we are on the way. The process is not yet finished, but it is actively going on. This is not the goal but it is the right road. At present, everything does not gleam and sparkle, but everything is being cleansed.”

The Connect & Grow ministries of Incarnation are intentional about helping people tend purposefully to the different facets of spiritual well-being as we collectively seek to “Connect more deeply with God and one another” and “Grow in the gracious gift of abundant and eternal life in Christ.”
