Adult Learning
Learning is a core value at Incarnation. We believe LEARNING is essential to a dynamic and deepening faith. A growing understanding of the life graciously given in Jesus Christ illuminates our daily walk. A wide range of learning opportunities and styles for every age and at every level is offered as part of a life-long path of growth. Adult Learning at Incarnation offers a variety of opportunities to explore what it means to live in relationship with God, other people, and God’s creation.

Current & Upcoming Opportunities

Talking Faith Workshop

“Conversations about faith are not just about convincing other people that we are right and they are wrong - that’s a speech, a tirade, an attack. A conversation is about exploration, engagement, and building relationship. When we have a conversation about faith, we discover what we really believe. We find some of what we thought we believed, rings hollow when we say it out loud. We find out that some things we thought don’t matter, are of great interest to others. We find out that people often are yearning for conversation about things that really matter. We find out that we really do have a faith to share….”

These words are found in the introduction of a resource called, Talking Faith, which has used been at Incarnation with great success, and facilitated by Pastor Gary Medin. Dialogue-based gatherings will assist participants in understanding and affirming how their experiences and values have shaped their faith. Through these facilitated conversations, participants will leave each session with a deeper understanding of their faith stories and an appreciation for the faith journey of others. Ultimately, the goal of Talking Faith is to help individuals to embrace their own faith and its origin, and to reinforce that a person’s faith story shared, has the power to encourage others in their faith. This is a completely different orientation some might have that our theology or orthodoxy has to be “right”, before we share our faith.
